Triumph x Arai Tour-X5 Helmet Green

GENERAL

• Outer Shell PB-cLc2: Arai’s Peripherally Belted Complex Laminate Construction greatly increases shell strength and flexibility while maintaining low weight and a lower centre of gravity. Positioned across the top of the eye port, this band contributes to the use of a thinner EPS liner which greatly enhances the upward field of view. A specially designed “mechanically expanded fibre mat”, sandwiched between the inner and outer layers of Arai’s proprietary Super Fibre Laminates, is used to reinforce and bond these two Super Fibre layers without adding significant weight to the helmet. The latest “Z-Mixture” resins increases material adhesion requiring less resin for a stronger bond between materials for a thinner and lighter shell
• Variable Axis System A (VAS-A): This new visor system allows for easier and faster visor swaps. The visor can be attached or removed without the need for any tools. The peak utilizes only one screw on each side for easy removal & installation. With VAS, the visor mounting position is lowered, yielding an average of an additional 10mm of smoother shell across both temple areas, in pursuit of the ideal smoother shape that increases the ability to glance off impact energy. The visor is designed to follow the line of the eye-opening area on the shell while keeping a continuous curvature. A larger, clearer field-of-view is the result. The visor radius follows the shape of the helmet, providing a higher level of glancing off ability
• 3 Configurations: Multi-purpose styles for your ride: adventure, on-road, and off-road. Changing to either of the styles does not require additional parts. A more open eye-port is optimized for wearing goggles
• Innovative Peak: The all-new peak is designed for more effective ventilation, increased high speed flow-through performance, greater range of adjustability for blocking the sun, and is more resistant to buffeting, all of which leads to a more comfortable riding experience

VENTILATION

• Tour-X5 Ventilation: The Tour-X5 has a completely new ventilation system. With a total of three intake vents and five exhaust vents, the ventilation is further improved from the previous generation. Stay cool in any situation
• Free Flow System (FFS): Creates airflow under the helmet that reduces wind noise and turbulence while increasing the exhaust of hot air
• Hidden Multi-Stage Air Channel: Allows hot air to be pulled out of the helmet through 3 holes in the EPS liner to the Twin Venturi Exhaust ports
  

FRONT VENTILATION

• 3D Arai Logo Duct: Immediately noticeable, the new 3D Arai logo duct (made as thin as possible, just 3.5mm in depth) feeds two central 10mm intake ports underneath. This is a first in an Arai, and entirely due to the PB-CLC2 shell’s strength and construction. It also works very well at low speed and with an upright riding position. At just 50km/h it’s channelling an extra 40% airflow, at 120km/h 7% compared to without. It can also be opened, or closed, easily with summer or winter gloves via a short-stroke lever placed at the top. If the rider can’t see the lever and the logo is in its normal place, the duct is open. The Arai logo duct is designed to breakaway in the event of an impact for enhanced glancing off ability
• Centre Top Vent - Intake: Keeping the height low while improving airflow. In the event of an impact, this centre vent will break away so as not to inhibit glancing off performance. The duct has made big advancements while staying true to what makes the helmet an Arai. The Top Vent has three positions: closed, half open and fully open to adjust the airflow and prevent water intrusion when fully closed
• Three Position Chin Vent: Three-position chin vent helps in demisting the visor and offering fresh, cool air to the rider
• Inner Chin (Bar) Vent Shutter: Working in conjunction with the mouth shutter, the inner shutter allows you to adjust the amount of airflow entering the helmet. If the inner and outer shutters are both open, the air will be directed towards your mouth. If the outer shutter is open and the inner closed, the air will be directed towards the visor and help to reduce fogging

REAR VENTILATION

• Neck Exhaust Vent: To enhance hot-air extraction from the interior. Increases the ventilation effect at the lower part of the helmet
• One-Piece Rear Exhaust With Spoiler Function: The one-piece rear exhaust/spoiler, operated by a 3-way switch, is inspired by the DF-X2 of the RX-7V Racing, but redesigned for touring use – however, it was tested up to 300km/h at Suzuka. It sits a little more forward on the shell and is fed by 3 ports in the shell. As part of the Quantic’s comprehensive ventilation system it efficiently draws air but also smooths airflow over (and from the side) of the helmet, improving stability and reducing buffeting, especially while overtaking at highway speeds. The result is much less rider fatigue. Manufactured as thin and light as possible it’s designed to crush or break away upon impact, therefore having no impact on protective performance.
• Side Exhausts: Producing low pressure behind the rear vent for better hot air extraction, these side exhaust ports are integrated in the shell for better aerodynamics, wind noise reduction, and prevention of buffeting at speed. On the inside, a small noise reducing foam helps to absorb and diminish excessive noise, without reducing ventilation performance
• Rear Duct: The air-through top-rear-duct center brace also functions as a goggle-strap locator. The diffusers can be removed or replaced quickly and easily by removing a single screw on the rear-duct center brace

AERODYNAMICS

• Retractable Pull-Down Chin Spoiler: The retractable pull-down spoiler reduces wind intrusion into the bottom of the helmet and helps to pull out hot and humid air around the sculpted leading edges of the cheek pads. This coordinated ventilation, combined with fresh air coming in from the chin vent, also helps to reduce visor fogging and wind noise

VISOR

• VAS Max Vision Visor (VAS-A): The new Max-Vision visor preserves the wide field-of-view and high level of visibility expected of an Arai Tour-X model. The Pinlock 120 XLT insert for this model has advanced to be effective at resisting fogging, even in extreme wet and damp conditions, across the entire field of view
• Pinlock Insert Lens Included: Effectively prevents misting and fogging of the visor, even under extreme wet and damp conditions. May be cleaned and changed easily

INTERIOR

• Antimicrobial Liner Material: Helps maintain neutral acidity levels close to human skin and antibacterial consumption. With the aim of a softer, deeper and even more comfortable fit we developed a softer liner frame material. The liner also has adjustable temple padding that allows for a customized fit
• Replaceable Cheek Pads / Ear Cups: Cheek pads/ear cups may be easily removed. All parts (replaceable or not) can be cleaned with lukewarm water and mild soap. Rinse well after cleaning, blot dry with a towel and let air dry completely before reassembly. Never machine wash or use heat to dry. Interior parts in different size thickness are available for a custom fit for every rider
• Replaceable Interior: The complete interior may be easily removed. All parts (replaceable or not) can be cleaned with lukewarm water and mild soap. Rinse well after cleaning and never dry in direct sunlight or near a heat source. Interior parts in different size thickness are available for a custom fit for every rider
• Replaceable Chinstrap Covers: All parts (replaceable or not) can be cleaned with lukewarm water and mild soap. Rinse well after cleaning and never dry in direct sunlight or near a heat source. Interior parts in different size thickness are available for a custom fit for every rider
• Replaceable Neckroll: All parts (replaceable or not) can be cleaned with lukewarm water and mild soap. Rinse well after cleaning and never dry in direct sunlight or near a heat source. Interior parts in different size thickness are available for a custom fit for every rider
• Speaker Pockets: Build in communication systems are popular, but the problem is often that the room for a speaker is limited or just not present, causing unpleasant pressure points. The speaker pockets, offering room for mounting speakers without effecting comfort or fit. (Speaker not included)
• Facial Contour System (FCS): To offer an even better snug fit and enhancing the comfort to the lower jaw, the Facial Contour System (FCS) works with a foam spring support in the cheek pad that compresses and rebounds, providing the necessary support without excessive pressure
• 5mm “Peel Away“ Cheek Pads / Ear Cups: Giving even more ability to craft the perfect fit and comfort, the cheek pads feature a 5 mm peel away layer for added room if needed
• 5mm ’’Peel Away’’ Temple Pad: Arai´s peel-away temple crown pads give the option of 5 mm more interior width if needed

COMFORT

• Emergency Release System (ERS): Allows easier access to an injured rider. By pulling the orange tabs integrated in the pads, the cheek pads slide out. Making helmet removal easier for trained medical personnel and rescuers. Minimising the risk of additional injury
• 10mm Wider Base: The exclusive shell flares 5mm on each side for a total of 10mm around the base, making it easier to get the helmet on and off.
• Intercom Accommodation: Designed to fit and connect a communication system easily on the shell exterior – and without any compromise to the protection offered by the inner EPS liner.
• Neckroll Wire Pocket: Designed to work clearly without affecting comfort or protection to store excess cable length in the neck roll
• Egg-Shaped Chin Cover Compatible: Attached to the bottom of the helmet, the chin curtain helps to further accentuate the Egg-shape form. The curtain simultaneously blocks air intrusion from turbulent air below and increases negative pressure to enhance the exhaust function of FFS by drawing more air from the mouth area. The improved airflow reduces noise even further

APPROVAL

• ECE R22-06: ECE R22-06 requires a much more stringent testing process than the previous ECE R22-05 and includes an oblique test to measure rotation

WEIGHT

Start with measuring your head to get an idea of the size to look for: measure (in cm) the circumference across the forehead, above the eyes and ears and over the small bump at the back of the head, read the size where the tape joins.

Returns Information

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, like perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants), custom products (such as special orders or personalized items), and personal care goods (such as beauty products). We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.

Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.

Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded to your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
